The Saint Aidan's container garden is a sweet little spot. I usually post photos of the Little Red Hen garden, I realize, (which is larger) but the little St. Aidan's garden has a particular place in my heart. The lettuces are particularly lovely right now - shown in photos in the slide show - and growing carrots in containers is something I find particularly fun for some reason. And when the veggies come up to the altar on Sunday morning to be blessed, well - that's a sacred moment for me. (See photo from today with my colleague Audrey - wonderful.) Once we had a spider on the altar as a result and that was a moment in and of itself! Our produce will go to the Diamond Diners senior lunch this week which is very special.
