This past Saturday, Betsy Eddy and I planted new lettuces at the garden, and herbs in the community herb portion of the garden (photos to come of that...)  It is just such a pretty place, reminding me of one of my favorite garden poems... 

Garden Sanctuary    

You who walk,                                                                        

Maybe with troubled thoughts,                                             

Come, enter here and rest;                                                    
And may the sweet serenity of growing things,                    

And the heavenly peace

We had a wonderful field trip to the garden today - including a "drive by" in a car!  We watered and checked out the garden.  Next Sunday, May 18, there will be a potluck at the garden - please join us!  And happy mother's day all around.....

It was an unseasonably hot week for a new little garden, but our plants seem to be hanging in there.  And I spotted a ladybug this morning as I was watering.....  We are planning a field trip to the garden next Sunday May 11 - a nice thing to do on Mother's Day!  We'll look forward to seeing folks then....
