As we begin week 3 of shelter in place, I'm thinking a lot about friends and family on the east coast - New York and New Jersey in particular. My sister-in-law Eve sent me this photo of a closed church in New Jersey. The spring flowers are reminding me of joy even amidst so much that in painful and uncertain about this time. Be well, all.

I am fortunate and blessed to live in a neighborhood where neighbors know each other and get together on a regular basis. We're missing that as we shelter in place, and so I asked my neighbors if they'd like to send me photos for this blog - either from their garden, or on a walk, or from inside looking out. Here's the first, from my neighbor Richard - flowers by the driveway - making SF beautiful bit by bit.....  Hi everyone. I've put the word out to send me favorite photos from your shelter in place days - from a walk you were on, from your garden, from inside your home, anything that you found meaningful. I'll share them here. This beautiful flower is a photo from Cameron Partridge from San Bruno Mountain. Thank you Cameron!  And some more photos from the roof garden - next I'll start posting photos from the neighborhood - from walks which are allowed as long as social distancing is observed - we've been walking hills! Be well everyone.... As we shelter in place in SF, some photos from my roof garden....creation is beautiful and surviving amidst the worry. Which gives me much hope..... Beautiful SF blooms and also lots of greens for Diamond Diners senior lunch...happy early spring..... |
