We have a nice harvest for Diamond Diners this week - lots of greens! Clearly the greens loved our rain and haven't minded the cold too much. My friend Ed, who gardens at Little Red Hen, also invited me to harvest some of his arugula for our seniors. Thank you Ed, and thank you to our loyal Diamond Diners volunteers from St. Aidan's, who run this program every month in service to the seniors in our neighborhood.

Although I've now lived in California for 14 years, I still am surprised by what we grow and harvest in November.....It just seems amazing to me. From the St. Aidan's and Little Red Hen gardens this week we have lots and lots of greens (including the first collards) - and potatoes harvested by the children at Golden Bridges School. The harvest is bound for the Free Farm Stand tomorrow. Happy November!
