This week's harvest - a mix of radishes, greens, beets, cucumbers and potatoes - is going to my friends at Western Park Apartments. Tree and I are pruning the little orchard we planted there this morning, which will be a joy. This harvest reminds me that new radishes and beets out of the ground really define the range of the color red!
I returned from vacation to find wonderful new treasures in the gardens, thanks to gardening partners Kris and Betsy who kept watering and tending in both garden sites. New entries - radishes, the first cucumbers, and potatoes! Also lovely lavender......It's summer for sure, even in San Francisco!
