A pretty exciting day - today was our first harvest from the Little Red Hen garden, for Diamond Diners, our senior lunch program at St. Aidan's. What we have grown so far -- some nice chard and parsley, nasturtiums and scallions. From sister gardens, we have chives from St. Mark's Lutheran, lettuce from my husband's awesome garden, and a beautiful onion from Leah, a new friend at Little Red Hen garden. Leah said this was her "best onion" and she wanted us to have it for Diamond Diners.
