A bit of news from the garden - First up, we had a grand potato harvest from the spuds originally donated by Peter and Linnea (and who thought there was no use for sprouting potatoes...) They went to Western Park Apartments, an affordable senior housing project, for sharing among the folks there - along with some great lettuce. Little Red Hen garden has a new flower area to go along with the shared herb garden, and also I planted some new lettuces in our barrels there. And at the church, we have a new herb garden -- please come by to take a snip of whatever you can use! The pots are thanks to a friend in the neighborhood who donated them to us, and my husband bought the herbs for me for our wedding anniversary - for planting around and about. We have thyme, lemon verbena, rosemary, sage, oregano and marjoram. I'm always mindful, this time of year, how glorious it is that we can garden all year round....
