On the first Wednesday of each month, St. Aidan's hosts "Diamond Diners" at the church - a lovely lunch for seniors. Each month, I try to rustle up enough lettuce or herbs or other produce from our small garden to add to the lunch program. My colleagues who organize Diamond Diners are so gracious in working with me to use the produce - it's a small amount, they add to it, we all improvise. This month I had some small carrots - I honestly had hoped that they would be a bit larger - but there you go --- and lots of greens. I can't be at Diamond Diners due to my work schedule, but on those Wednesdays I think about the small amount of food that our little garden has grown and I'm so happy that it's part of the fellowship and love and smiles at our lunch. It's one of those "little things" that I think means a lot. So - a simple photo of the little carrots and lots of greens.....
